NDA 2021 Preparation Tips
In this article, we have mentioned some important preparation tips and tricks to crack NDA exam:
Schedule your study plan smartly
It is important to have a smart study plan for better preparation. Here, Smart Study Plan means to manage your time and NDA 2021 Syllabus efficiently. Your preparation schedule should be well organized so that you can score good marks.
Your basics should be clear
Firstly, analyze your entire syllabus and mark the topics which require more concentration. Start preparing for the topics from the basics. If your basics are clear then only you are able to solve higher level questions. First clear your basics then go through the exam pattern and syllabus.
READ THE SYLLABUS
First of all go through the syllabus for the exam given in the notification released by UPSC. After that have a look at the previous year questions from each subject to see what type of questions are asked from each subject. Its analysis is essential as it will help you to make a strategic plan for each chapter. Remember you are not required to score 100 percentile in the exam, so it is okay to skip a topic which you don’t understand even if it is important, but make up for it by solving all your topics accurately. Create your own study plan.
For example: Indefinite integration questions consist of basic substitutions and formulas given in NCERT, so wasting your time in solving advanced integration will not do you any good for this exam.
Go through NCERT religiously
Especially for the Mathematics section, read all the definitions of Class XI-XII as many questions have been asked in the recent past from basic domains of functions, definitions of terms etc. For this, like all formulas, you can make separate lists of formulas on a sheet of paper. of integration and stick it on a wall near your study table and do the same for inverted triangles, probability, etc.
For the GAT section, try to thoroughly read at least IX and X Science, History and Geography books if not earlier classes, then many questions are asked directly from the books.
Focus on General Knowledge and English Subject
Proficiency in English is essential to crack the NDA exam. Your English is not only tested in the written test, but if you have fluency in English, it can also leave a good impression on the selectors at the time of interview.
Since General Knowledge is part of the syllabus, prepare it well. You can strengthen your GK portion by reading newspapers, magazines, magazines, check books of prominent authors which focus on current affairs, etc.
Maths: Since there are so many tricks or shortcuts available for almost every question, I would recommend you to make a notebook and write down any shortcuts/tricks/special results which you have observed only after applying them in solving the questions . Simply writing them down won’t help you.
There are Old Pm’s Tears For Remembering some parts of Indian constitution for GAT also and there are many more for other subjects too, so find them all.
Internet and don’t just memorize them and note them down.
HEALTH MAINTENANCE AND PERSONALITY
Selection through NDA is not only based on a written test but your personality and health also plays a major role in it. It is advised to all the candidates to keep you fit and healthy by consuming enough food and water. Apart from this, give priority to yoga or any other exercise or meditation to relieve stress.
Start your preparation by giving an NDA Mock Test Series so that you know from the very beginning what are your strengths and weaknesses. Keep mocks regular like Sunday and create an exam environment with a time limit. Focus on continuous improvement. Mocks will help you identify which type of questions to attempt and which type of risk not to take. Just know that in the beginning and sometimes even in the last weeks your score will be very low but don’t lose hope because the confidence these mocks will give you will be enough to remove any nervousness in the exam.
Revision is the key to success. Candidates are advised to make short notes and revise them on a regular basis. This will help the candidates to remember it for a long time. On the other hand, keep it at least a week before the exam.
Do not study unnecessary topics in the end. This will make you forget what you have read earlier. In the last week before the exam, revise all the topics and topics that you have studied properly. This will help you to score in the exam.
